A wonderful account of one man's walk around the coast, and his walk with God. An absorbing read full of lovely little vignettes ie "I was introduced to a kindly vicar, a shrunken man, wreathed in a thick black overcoat and Homburg hat. He stood under a 40-watt bulb in the hall. I was shown into a half empty dining-room and was given a half-empty cup of tea with half a tea-cake. As I was only to spend half my time in the parish, perhaps I was destined or doomed to have everything in halves. I went on to live in one half of the Vicarage and we were only given half an egg each, the Vicar and I, on which to go to work. I soon lost about half my weight .....
